Frequently Asked Questions

How is EJBC able to keep annual fees low?

EJBC is a volunteer run organization;  Annual fees go towards the school permit, equipment (nets, ropes, birdies, club T-shirt, party supplies (prizes and refreshments) and tournament fees.

How is EJBC run?

There are volunteers who form an executive, which meets three or four times a year.  We are always happy to have your help!

Are there extra opportunities for my child to receive more coaching or practice time?

Check out Toronto Parks and Rec. as well as Mississauga Parks and Rec. for details on places where you can play badminton at nearby community centres,

Where can my child participate in "just for fun" tournaments?

Check out the Badminton Ontario website for tournaments which challenge players to perform at their best i.e. Erindale's Play All Day Tournament (every player is guaranteed 3 matches).

What equipment does my child require?

Safety goggles, court shoes, and a badminton racquet.  

How can I support my child and the club?

In order to ensure that your child gets the most out of the their experience at EJBC, please make sure to bring them on time (warm ups start promptly at 6:00pm for the Junior Program and 8:00pm for the Senior Program) to every session and all the proper equipment as well.
